He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Collins Hagood; his daughter Sonya Lee Hagood; his parents, James Hagood and Dorothy Hagood; his siblings, Kenneth Hagood and Pat Jones; and his brother-in-law Alton Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Hagood of Brunswick and Jody Thompson (Russell) of Thomaston, Georgia; his grandchildren, Justice Childs, Emory Thompson, Eden Thompson and Ellison Thompson; and his siblings, James "Jimmy" Hagood, Larry Hagood (Judy), Lynn Hagood (Carol) and Gwen Marconi (Pat). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
