In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara Abston shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara Abston farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Frank Hopper and Bertha Bassett Hopper; her children, Sheri Matthews, Kim Abston and Judy Hudson; and her sisters, Liz, Evelyn, Dot and Helen.
She is survived by: her husband Emory Hudson; her friend Mark Blankenship; and her niece Linda Abston Sorrow. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel (2932 US Hwy 41, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
