He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Smith and Elsie Shirey Smith; his wife Mary Ann O'Neal Smith; and his siblings, Annette Murray, Florene Smith Purcell, Eloise Cardwell, Edna Smith, Wayne Smith and Paul Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Raymond Smith, Jr. (Pam Smith), Neal Smith (Cassie Smith) and Ashley Smith (Beth Smith); his grandchildren, Catherine Coleman, Holly Ann White, Andrew Smith, Junior Smith, Jacob Smith and Will Smith; his great grandchild Jackson Coleman; his nephew David Thrower; and his niece Tara Kirk.
