He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Gwendolyn Martin; his brother Rev. MacArthur Blount; his parents-in-law, Ollie, Norman Hines, Larue Addie Dean and Curtis Addie; his wife Gwendolyn Colton; his children, Kennis (Perez), Kendrell Colton, LaPrentiss and TyKaunda Colton; his grandchildren, Skydasia Colton and Joshua Colton; his daughters, Markeisha Reeves, Aniya Parks and Treyson Colton; his great grandchild Lyrical; his mother Eleanor Colton; his siblings, Gregory Colton, Mack Owens (Betty) and Cynthia Amey (Bruce); his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Addie, William Martin (Gaynell) and Johnny Dean, Sr.; his brother Jeffrey Stokes; and his close friends, Butler Holt and Curtis Thompson. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance at the viewing and the Funeral must wear a MASK and social distancing is encouraged.
