He was predeceased by: his parent Sidney Lanier; and his siblings, Perry Smith and Bessie Smith Storey. He is survived by: his parent Sarah McGlenn Orr Smith; his wife Evelyn Robertson Smith; his children, Don Smith (Donna), Cindy Owens (Greg) and Joey Smith (Tammy); and his grandchildren, Will Smith, Sarah, Kate Goodson, Scott, Wesley Owens, Russell Owens, Daniel Smith, Amanda, Heather Holt and Kelby.
