He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Whitlock and Mildred Ellison McTaggart; his siblings, Brenda Sue Freeman and Jerry Lee McTaggart; and his brother-in-law James Stanley Mills.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Ardito Whitlock; his children, Tony Whitlock, Robert Whitlock, Curtis Whitlock, Joey Whitlock, Jimmy Whitlock (Kim), Richard Whitlock and Tammy Whitlock O'Valle; and his siblings, Larry McTaggart, Patricia Ann Doss of Georgia and Martha Dean Mills. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
