He was predeceased by: his parents, David Johnson and Iva Lee Kersey Johnson; his son Wade Thompson; and his brothers, Ronald Johnson, Michael Johnson, Richard Johnson and Hubert Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Sanders Johnson of Gordon; his siblings, Gary Johnson of Wrightsville, Geraldine Johnson McCullough of Stockbridge, Jackie Johnson Vallin of Dublin and Janice Johnson Lumley of Dublin; his sister-in-law Martha Sanders; and his nephew Jeff Sanders of Gordon.
