She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion "Dink" Bennett and Bertha Goss Bennett; her daughter Rhonda Brookshire; her siblings, Kenneth (Edith Bennett), J. R. Bennett, Doyle Bennett (Ted Bennett) and Carolyn; and her brother-in-law Otis Hamrick.

She is survived by: her caregiver Keith Brookshire; her pet Thor; her brother Jimmy; her sister-in-law Tammy Bennett; and her sisters, Joyce Silvers and Janice (Jimmy Hancock).
