She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bates and Sally Mae Burt Bates; her husband David Carlton Farmer; her son David Eugene Farmer; and her siblings, Garland Bates, Donald Bates, Evelyn Teal, Mildred Batchelor and Laura Nell Shore.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Farmer (Laura), Dean Farmer and Dianne Brown (Ted); her grandchildren, Mary Anne Tillman (Brad), Brandt Farmer (Megan), Laura Elizabeth Maloof (Tanner), Landon Brown, Becky A. Farmer, Chelse Farmer and Zachery Farmer; and her great grandchildren, Samuel, David Tillman, Ayla and C. J. Maddox.
