He was predeceased by: his parents, Kitty Nell Almond and James Earl Dobbs. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Dobbs of Good Hope; his son Wesley; his daughter-in-law Darla Dobbs of Oakwood; his sisters, Shirley (Mac McCutcheon) and Earlene (Raleigh Carey); and his grandchildren, Gavin Wesley Dobbs, Anslea Dakota Dobbs and Sara Paisley Dobbs.
