He was predeceased by: his parents, Wynn David "W. D." Avery and Mary Myrtle Currie Avery. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Avery of Macon, GA and Scott Avery (Brandi) of Gray, GA; the mother of his children Patricia "Pat" Page Avery of Macon, GA; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Avery Grubb (Keli) of Juliette, GA and Zachary Avery of Macon, GA; and his great grandchildren, Layla Jane Grubb and Maya Jade Grubb.
He has been a lifelong member at Beulah Baptist Church in Glenwood which is on land that his grandfather donated for the church and was built with materials and labor provided by his family.
