He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Powell and Evelyn Powell; and his brother Elton Dewitt Powell. He is survived by: his sisters, Lillie Mae Poulnott (Mike) of Lyons and Penny O'Neal of Mount Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
