He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Freddie Thompson and Inez Groover Thompson; his children, Jamie of Glennville and Mandee; his wife Kathleen; his children-in-law, Teresa Thompson of Glennville and Kris Varazo of Florence, SC; his grandchildren, Brooke and Zach Thompson; and his siblings, Retha Godbee of Reidsville, Aubrey (Georgia Sands), Larry (Patsy Davis) and Bobby (Pandy S. Folsom). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
