It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Paul Grant Sr. of Glennville, Georgia, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Grant and Hazel Rollo Newcomb; his wife Pearl Grant; and his siblings, Joey Grant and Teresa Sweetsir.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Daley, Jr. (Melissa) of Glennville, Kathy Paquette of Hudson, FL and Lisa Christian (Bill) of Glennville; and his siblings, Bobby Grant (Fran), Kathy Hassey (Dennis), Dottie Kennedy (Kevin), Russell Grant, Cindy Monty, Kathy Mendes (David), Nancy Boucher (Joe) and Kim. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Glennville Funeral Home (403 W Barnard St, Glennville, GA 30427). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
