He was predeceased by: his father Wendell Shay; and his grandson Sutton Haines. He is survived by: his wife Jo Lynn Shay of Glennville; his mother Carolyn Shay of Orange Park, FL; his children, Jamie Shay (Ashley) of Glennville, Josi Wright (Brad) of Quitman, Justin Shay (Linda) of Cobbtown, Jesse Shay (Ariana) of Glennville and Josie Shay of Statesboro; and his siblings, Terry Shay (Lisa) of Lake City, FL and Nancy Jordan (Philip) of Orange Park, FL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
