She was predeceased by: her husband Bob McKenzie; her sister Patsy Stanfield Dasher; and her son Wally Grooms. She is survived by: her daughter Sherry Smith (DJ) of Reidsville; her grandchildren, Chris Grooms of Savannah, Georgia, Brad Grooms of Glennville, Camille Durrence (Dalton) of Glennville, Brandon Grooms (Kaley) and Cody Grooms of Claxton; and her nephew Dr. Glen Dasher (Georgia) of Statesboro. She is also survived by Nine Great Grandchildren, Two Great-Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Brannen Family Funeral Services (206 N Veterans Blvd, Glennville, GA 30427). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the Glennville Memorial Gardens (5694 GA-144, Glennville, GA 30427).
