He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Jack Thames and Lizzie Lee Newsome Thames. He is survived by: his wife Tina M. Thames; his daughters, Autumn Warren Mauphine (Charles) and Samantha Oglesby (Mikey); his siblings, Joseph Thames (Margaret), Robert Thames (Donna), Cleveland Thames, James Thames (Angie), Barbara Ann Nations, Doris T. Crosby, Ruby Lee Cooler (Harold), Betty Ann Williams, Elizabeth Crosby and Glory Mundo (Henry); and his grandsons, Austin and Alex Oglesby.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keith Smith Funeral Service (128 Water St, Allendale, SC 29810). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Corinth Christian Church Cemetery (3174 Stoney Bluff Rd, Girard, GA 30426).
