He is survived by: his children, Chris Dotson (Loretta) of Gillsville, Martin Dotson, Jason Dotson (Heather Baker) of Flowery Branch and Jeanie Worley of Clayton; his grandchildren, Joshua Robertson, Dakota Dotson (Anna Wesson) and Noah Dotson (Laura Denny); his great grandchildren, Everly Robertson and Ellie Knight; his stepgrandchildren, Caleb Baker, Hannah Baker and Carsyn Baker; his sister Katie Dotson of Clermont; and his uncle Ronnie Dotson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
