She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hoyt and Bertha Mary Bell Merck; her husband Dannie Joe Poole; her son Ervin Clint Poole; her grandson Zachary Bryson; and her siblings, Joe Merck, Jim Merck, Larry Merck and Martha Wright.

She is survived by: her children, Lamar Keith Poole (Debra), Kelly Joe Poole (Angela), Daniel Clay Poole (Teresa), Mark Corey Poole (Jennifer), Peggy Smith (Danny), Patty Cook (Tony), Nancy Allen and Mary Carlyle (Allan); and her brothers, Vernon Merck, Johnny Merck, Douglas Merck and Richard Merck.
