In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider donating to a scholarship fund for financially disadvantaged youth in John's hometown of Moultrie, Ga., that John was honored to support (working with his oldest friend Pete Sayeski together with John Carlton, Jimmy Jeter, Patrick Mobley, and others).
