She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Gertrude and Lelia Bell Buffington Mize; her husband James Randolph Jr.; her son Michael Carl Goss; her son-in-law Clarence H. Johnson Sr.; and her brothers, JayLynn Mize, Floyd Mize and Dorsey Mize.
She is survived by: her sisters, Condis Mize Jones, Nancy "Montine" Mize Turner, Daisy Lee Mize Brown, Barbara Mize Cheeks and Bernice Mize Danzy; her children, Claudette Gaither (Rufus), Starris Wells (William), Gloria (late Clarence H. Johnson Sr.), Wendy Ahmed and Dwight Goss (Sharon); her grandchildren, Tyrone Goss, Tiffany Goss, Dwight Goss, Trenton Goss, William Wells III, Renard W. Wells, Bithiah Wells, Vashti Wells, Venus Wells, Dejuan Collins, Kier Collins, Teja Collins and Hisak Ahmed; her sister Wynonia Mize; her aunt Wynonna Mize Goss; and her cousins, Bradley Mize, Ricky Cheeks, Inge Brown and Terress Morrison.
