He was predeceased by: his parents, Leander Buffington and Lorena Gilmer Buffington; his brothers, Fred Buffington and Abner Buffington; and his former wife Mildred Couch Buffington.
He is survived by: his wife Jo West Buffington; his children, Sandra Buffington Garmon (Marshall), Stevie Buffington (Darlene) and Bengy Buffington (Sherrie); his stepson Dustin Cleveland (Christina); his grandchildren, Marsha Garmon Holzclaw (Kevin), Jamie Garmon (Tonya), Mandy Garmon Stewart (Eric), Brandy Buffington, Cody Buffington (MaryBeth), Kaityn Buffington Helton (TJ), Kourtney Buffington Jones and Blake Buffington (Ashley); his stepgrandchildren, Taylor and Logan; and his brother-in-law Donald Couch. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren & 2 step great grandchildren.
