With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara Shelton of Gibson, Georgia, born in Stapleton, Georgia, who passed away on August 20, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Kitchens and Eula Newman Kitchens; her husband Daniel Shelton; her children, Donald Shelton and Joanne Palmer; and her grandchildren, Dana Palmer and Brandon Palmer.
She is survived by: her daughter Dianne Davis (Jeff) of Gibson; her grandchildren, Brandi, Amy (Clinton), Danny, Serena (John), Ashley (Jason), Josh (Stacy), Hollie, Heather (Brandi), Raven (Pablo), Paisley, Presley Anne and Fynnley; and her siblings, Rubye Reese and Lamar Kitchens. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Because of the family's respect and concern for public health and safety during this COVID-19 pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged during any gathering.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made directly to Taylor Funeral Home, 57 College Place, Gibson, GA 30810 to help with expenses.
