He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Elbert Newsome, Jr. and Florence Gloria Calloway Newsome; his grandson William Joshua Newsome; and his sister Cheryl Norris. He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Newsome of Gibson; his sons, Larry W. (Shellie Newsome), Barry D. (Theresa Newsome) and David O. Newsome (Joe Dean Usry) of Warrenton; his siblings, Sandra Azimi (Mehdi) of Gordon, Cathe Basurto (Faustino) of Jewell, Phil Newsome and Tony Newsome (Luz) of Jewell; his grandchildren, Ashleigh Harbison (Kevin), Tyler Newsome (Danielle), Erin LaPier (Shawn), Ryan Newsome, Liam Newsome (Caroline), Rowan Newsome, Alanna Newsome and Connor Newsome; and his great grandchildren, Sophie LaPier, Charlie LaPier and Paisley Newsome. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
