It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Layton Morrison of Gibson, Georgia, born in Trion, Georgia, who passed away on October 14, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Layton Edward Morrison and Willie Belle Walters Morrison. He is survived by: his wife Betty Morrison. He is also survived by 5 children, 2 stepchildren, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

“My Sympathy and prayers for the family and friends of my Uncle Jerry. Many years have passed since I seen him. Uncle Jerry and my dad (Toby Morrison) use to take me fishing a lot when i was little. Rest in Peace Uncle Jerry and I know MaBill and Daddy Lay are happy you’ve joined them with your brother Toby and your sister Margaret. Special prayers for Aunt Betty that God will be by her side as she goes on with everyday life. Take one day at a time 🫶❤️”
