She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Chalker and Mattie Landrum Chalker; her grandson Eric Andrew Turner; and her siblings, Evelyn Brown, Earnest Chalker, JC Chalker and Lewis Chalker.
She is survived by: her husband Rev Ralph Kitchens; her children, Tammy Turner (Freddie) of Gibson, GA, Richard Kitchens (Paulette) of Hartsville, SC and David Kitchens (Sandra) of Thomson, GA.; her great grandchildren, Jeremiah Kitchens, Matthew Kitchens (Samantha), Rebekah Anna Kitchens, Jonathan Kitchens (Dallas), Joshua Kitchens (Jessica), Andrew Turner (Heather) and Tiffany Turner Poss; and her sisters, Elizabeth Prescott and Gladys Hilson.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home-Gibson (57 College St, Gibson, GA 30810). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Light House Church (5727 Purvis School Rd, Stapleton, GA 30823). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at the Magnolia Baptist Church (3406 Magnolia Church Rd, Gibson, GA 30810).
