Evelyn Gunter Obituary
Evelyn "Ruth" Gunter, age 87 of Gay, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.W. Gunter; parents, Hampton Evans Fuss and Evelyn R. Davis Fuss; siblings, Michael G. Fuss and Lamar Fuss; grandson, Allen M. Malcolm. She is survived by her children, Janice Davis Falany and Joseph H. Davis, grandchildren, Joey H. Davis, Lauren Davis Franklin, Lisa Gunter Baker, Megan Lynn Baker, and Austin Baker; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Atlanta, GA on August 31, 1934 and attended West Fulton High School. She worked as a secretary for Fulton County Electric Company for many years. She was a member of Griffin Assembly of God for many years.
She was a loving, kind person and mother. She enjoyed reading, long walks, animals and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by many and loved by all who knew her.
