He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Ralph Garner and Mable Lee Garner; his daughter Crystal Layne Garner; his grandson Casey Allen Jones; and his brother Johnny Frank Garner.
He is survived by: his wife Orlene Garner of Gay; his children, Cheryll Cotten (Rick) of Lawrenceville, Cindy Wilson (Mike) of Senoia and Chuck Garner of Gay; his grandchildren, Melissa Taylor, Jeffrey Cotten, Tricia Stockwell (Matt), Trinia Garner and Tristan Garner; his siblings, Lynda Faye Fowler (Randall) of Athens, Brenda Lee Lafargue (Ashton) of Alpharetta, Robyn Bond of Abbeville, SC and Gary Garner (Rebekah) of Gay; and his sisters-in-law, Marleen McCulloch, Thelma Porter and Charlotte McCulloch (Joe). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
