It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Lee Yates of Garfield, Georgia, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Yates and Lessie Stanley Yates; his granddaughter Abbie Grimes; and his sisters, Debra Sue Yates and Trula Bea Owens.

He is survived by: his wife Vicki L. Yates of Garfield; his daughters, Robin Grimes (B. J.) of Garfield and Laura Overstreet (Freddie) of Sylvania; his grandchildren, Chandler Grimes, Chelsie Grimes and Berkley Overstreet; and his brothers, Roger Yates, Ronald Yates (Linda) of McCormick, SC and Glen Yates. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
