He was predeceased by: his wife Vickie Burke Flakes; his parents, Willie Flakes and Nellie Flakes; and his brother Lester Flakes. He is survived by: his children, Mitchell Flakes (Crystal) of Garfield and Ashley Flakes (Kaleb) of Collins; his siblings, Janet Driggers of Statesboro, Virginia Clarke (Arnold), Debra Flakes of Millen, Douglas Flakes of Millen and David Flakes (Patricia) of Waynesboro; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor Rae and Mayes.
