He was predeceased by: his parents, Brown Mercer and Vera Owens Mercer; and his brothers, T. D. Mercer and Howard Mercer. He is survived by: his wife Nina Jones Mercer of Garfield; his sons, Marty Mercer (Julie) and Greg Mercer; his brother Ken Mercer (Barbara) of Swainsboro; his grandchildren, Brandy Snyder, Randi Mills, Ashley Denney (Lynnsey), Zack Denney, Madison Mercer (James) and Hagan Mercer; and his great grandchildren, Christian Brendel, Jake Mills, Hunter Mills, Ellee Denney, Evan Denney, Addison Denney, Channum Denney, Harper Denney and Cohen Ward.
