She was predeceased by: her husband Robert S. Atkinson; her son Donald Atkinson; her parents, Harvey Pope and Annie Pope; and her siblings, Donnie Pope and Judy Pope Yerty (Nancy Motes).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl A. Jean (Richard) of Hillsboro and Chris Atkinson of Garfield; her brother Ronnie Pope (Sherry) of Statesboro; her grandchildren, Anna Brooke Atkinson Cowart (Casey), Robert Lee Jean (Rachel), Jake Atkinson and John Richard Jean; her great grandchildren, Aubrey Anna Cowart, Case Cowart and Riverly Jean; her sister-in-law Evelyn Pope of Statesboro; and her daughter-in-law Joanna Atkinson of Garfield.
