Hughey, Sr. (Velmeka); his sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas and Eloise Thomas; his children, Michael, Tracey Thomas, Cheryl Brown (O'Brien), Fennis Bailey (Crawford) and Angela McKinley (Wayne); his siblings, Henry Thomas, Theris Thomas (Toxi) and Belinda Haynes (Rick); his sister-in-law Maria Lewis; and his stepchildren, Jeffrey Malone, Hattie Malone and Lorraine Parks. He is also survived by Twenty-nine grandchildren; Twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family, and friends.
