It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Faye Bush of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Martin, Georgia, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Bush; her siblings, Dora, Mozetta Whelchel (Lee), Drewnella Ramsey (Robert), L. V. Johnson and Ace Johnson Jr.; her son Gregory Lamar Mize; her grandson Deotris Lamar Mize; her great grandchild Sexton Samaud Rucker; and her great great grandchild Noah Gray.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Loretta Mize, Jonathan Craig Butts and Rebecca Bush; her grandchildren, Traci Mize Knight (Kerick), Gregory Kilo Mize, Courtney Mize Smith (Lee) and Mechee'Johnson; and her close friends, Annette Westbrook, Betty Butts, Rev. Rosetta Johnson, Delinda Luster and Pamela Stokes. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wimberly Funeral Home (325 Summit St SE, Gainesville, GA 30501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (705 Summit St, Gainesville, GA 30501).
