He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Conklin Parks and Johnnie Smith Brookshire. He is survived by: his wife Wendy W. Parks; his daughters, Amanda Finn (Alan) and Valerie Weed (Flint); his grandchildren, Zach Finn, Josh Finn and Breah Weed; his sister Lynn Tugwell; and also, Marsha and Gary Grizzle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Asbury Chapel Church. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Asbury Chapel, Gainesville, Georgia. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rosehill Cemetery.
