He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Drake and Maude Eller Drake; his former wife Frances Anglin Drake; his wife Rowena Martin Smith Drake; his sister Eva Drake Pennington; and his son Rodney Thomas Drake.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Drake Unnold of Gainesville and Gregory Herman Drake of Gainesville; his stepson Mark (Theresa Smith) of Gainesville; his siblings, Bobby Drake (Joann) of Flowery Branch and Dorothy Dye Denton of Hiawassee; and his grandchildren, Tina Drake (Dianne), Sherry Parker (James), Michelle Hayes (Chuck), Scott Unnold (Lyn), Natalie Unnold, Hailey Smith (Greg) and Angel Drake. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
