She was predeceased by: her parent Ollie C.; her husband William Gaines; and her siblings, Charlie (Thelma Burnett), William (Lola Mae Burnett), Floyd (Geraldine Burnett), Marvin (Maudell Burnett), Dennis (Shirley Burnett), J. C. Burnett, Alice (Toy Broome) and Mary Burnett.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Elease Burnett. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
