It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Van A. Thurston of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on February 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Thurston and Willie Belle VanMeter Thurston; his half-sister Valeria Zemar; and his wife Janet Lee Thurston. He is survived by: his daughter Lee Ann; his son-in-law Frank Harney; his son Van, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Sarah Brownlee Thurston; his grandchildren, Ike Thurston, Zach Thurston, Tate Harney, Tyler Harney, Kelsey Blalock and Ashlan Rice; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn Harney, Bryson Harney, Hughes Thurston, Warner Thurston, Wilder Thurston and Grace Allison. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren.
