He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Folger and Anne Folger; his brothers, Phillip Folger and Walter Folger; his former wife Elaine Folger; his wife Millie Folger; and his son Richard S. Kinsey, II.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Folger, Paul Folger (Laurie), John Folger (Rosie), Susannah Kinsey and Elizabeth Kinsey Austin (Ty); and his grandchildren, Alane Folger Massey (Bryan), Stacia Folger McGriff (Tyler), Lauren Folger Roberts (Severin), John Folger, Jr. (Ester), Elaine Folger, Isabella Austin, Emmeline Austin, Stephanie Kinsey Barron (Michael), Richard Kinsey, III and Justin Kinsey. He is also survived by great grandchildren and other family members.
