With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stuart William Cowan of Gainesville, Georgia, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on September 3, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Reid Cowan and Mildred Shupert Cowan; his stepmother Thelma Sortor Cowan; his sister Kathryn Cowan McDonald; his brother-in-law Charles Patrick McDonald; and his great grandchild Cole Orr.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cowan of Gainesville; his children, Brent (Susan Cowan), Richard (Cathy Cram), Troy (Monette Cowan) and Laurie; his son-in-law Dr. Robert Ronis of Cleveland, OH; his daughter Amy; his son-in-law Anthony Orr of Gainesville; his son Jeffery; his daughter-in-law Kelie Lockhart of Bethlehem, GA; his brother H. Ronald Cowan; his sister-in-law Susanne Harrison of Bedford, MA; his sisters, Peggy Cowan (Richard Wood) and Laura Cowan (Richard May); his grandchildren, Megan, Austin, Emily, Brice, Liza, Ceila, Judd, Quinn, Ashlyn, Blayne, Sarah, Jenny, Anna, Lauren, Alex and Spencer; and his great grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, Everett, Connor, Spencer, Preston and Addalyn.
