We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2023, at the age of 85, Shirley L. McKinney of Gainesville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cliff Collins and Maybell Sergeant Collins; her husband Bobby McKinney; her son Bobby Thompson; and her siblings, Reva Godfrey, Claudie Collins, Houston Collins, Wilburn Collins and J. C. Collins.
She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Dyer of Gainesville; her granddaughter Heather Dyer of Dawsonville; her great grandchild Aaliyah Garcia (John Garcia); her children, Phyllis Blackwell of Dalton and James W. Blackwell, Jr. of Dalton; her stepson Robbie McKinney of Dahlonega; and her siblings, Clayton Collins (Debbie) of Dalton and Annette Talley of Dalton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and many friends.
