He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Byers and Mildred Fitts Byers; his wife Sara Byers; and his brothers, Charles Byers and Kevin Byers.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Byers, Amanda Byers and Elliott Byers (Brandi); his grandchildren, Kaitlin Skidmore, Chelsea Brown, Norman Miller (Ming), Morghan Byers (Jesse), Sam Young (Alexis), Caroline Miller, Kasi Byers, Jonah Miller, Hope Byers, Isabella Galloway, Gracie Byers, Mercy Galloway, Milli Perez and Tito Perez; his great grandchildren, Zoe Skidmore, Chloe Fissette, Walker Miller, Branson Byers-Hitt, Nova Walker, Jude Miller, Liam Brown, Brynley Byers-Lee and Fred Miller; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Byers and Dixie Byers. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Cagle Funeral Home (364 E Church St, Jasper, GA 30143). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long Swamp Baptist Church. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
