He was predeceased by: his parents, William Myron and Hazel Dorman Gunter; his wife Regina Miller Gunter; and his stepsons, Johnny Dale and Greg Garrison.
He is survived by: his daughter Laurie; his son-in-law Steven Bryant of Dahlonega; and his stepdaughter Angela Ravan of Gainesville. He is also survived by 2 brothers, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
