He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ivey and Elma Ivey; his former wife Rosemary Bassler Ivey; his brother Richard Ivey; and his wife Mildred Ivey.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Ivey (Tammy) of Hoschton, GA and W. Michael Bailey (Cheryl) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Megan Arnold (Spencer), Hannah Bush (Kipper), Micah Bailey and Amanda Leach (Matt); and his siblings, Shirley Deaver, Ophelia Taylor (Donald), Patti Phelps (Lou), Kathy McCanless (Walt), Milton Ivey (Joan) and Jerry Ivey (Ann). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of NGMC, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 222, Gainesville, GA 30501.
