It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Randolph Chandler McCranie of Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on October 5, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward McCranie and Mildred McCranie; his siblings, David McCranie and Joan; and his brother-in-law Jim Collier.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Newman McCranie; his daughters, Millie O'Keefe (Richard) of Gainesville, GA and Laura McCranie Burns of Gainesville, GA; his grandchildren, Ben, Charlie, Catherine Burns, Grace and Olivia O'Keefe; his brothers, Steve McCranie (Corma) of St. Augustine, Bo McCranie (Jan) of Woodstock, GA and Dan McCranie (Andrea) of Eastman, GA; and his sisters-in-law, Bernie McCranie of Athens, GA, Jackie Newman Minaglia (Don) of La Jolla, CA and Nan Newman Christy of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville and served on the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hospital Foundation as well as President of Chattahoochee Country Club from 1999-2000.
