He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wayne Smith and Montine Cagle Smith; his son Michael Pinion; and his brother Johnny Smith. He is survived by: his children, Chris Pinion of Gainesville, Mathew Smith (Kecia) of Dawsonville and John Smith (Elissa) of Santa Rosa, Florida; his siblings, Phillip Smith (Susan), Tommy Smith and Susan Smith; and his grandchildren, Taylor Pinion, Carter Pinion, Jackson Smith, Landon Burt, Luke Smith, Peyton Burt, Tripp Smith, Kalyn Burt, Maris Smith and Calder Smith.
