He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Wilburn Joyner, Jr. and Susan Elizabeth Nix Joyner; his stepdaughter Christine Dalton; and his nephew Michael Brandon Joyner. He is survived by: his wife Debra Ivers Joyner; and his brothers, Eddie (Judy Joyner) and Michael (Jean Joyner).
