He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Bennett and Maggie Cantrell Bennett; his son Jimmy Bennett; and his siblings, Eulene Gazaway, Emma Jean Roper, Sarah Wilson, Marrell Smith, Opal Pugh, Ethell Bennett and Royce Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Allen Bennett; his son Doug; his daughter-in-law Jan Bennett; his granddaughter Chasity (Robby Boleman); his great grandchild Bennett Boleman; his siblings, Linda Gittens and Loyte; and his sisters-in-law, Gay Bennett and Hilda Bennett.
