She was predeceased by: her mother Rena Shuler Whitmire; her husband Lewis M. Spain; her daughter Shelley Melissa Spain Worden; and her siblings, Rachel Helton and L. D. Whitmire.
She is survived by: her daughter Dena; her son-in-law Larry Grizzle; her son Mickey Spain of Gainesville; her grandchildren, Amy Anderson of Gainesville, Alesha of Gainesville, Jeremy Nix of Gainesville and Holly Worden; and her great grandchildren, Grayson, Ethan, Emery Anderson and Scarlett Nix.
