She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gilstrap and Mattie Ryder Gilstrap; her husband James S. Norris; and her siblings, Boyd Gilstrap of Toccoa, Earl Gilstrap of Cumming, Bill Gilstrap of Winder and Sylvia Cooper of Chestnut Mountain.

She is survived by: her children, Kathryn Norris Orr of Cumming, Kay, Tim Watkins of Marietta, David and Mary Ann Norris of Gainesville; and her grandchildren, Chris Orr, Aundrea Baisley, James Watkins, Brittany Opitz, Ashley Norris and Amanda Norris. She is also survived by her 6 great-grandchildren.
